Changing communities
It is really interesting to work with a rural community and you see a person changing from a lower level and progressing steadily to a better level! Byamukama (pic) had no cow in his home but he wished to drink milk with his family. He could spend money to buy a litre of milk daily which could not saticify his family. Through the work I do at Samaritan's Purse (SP) Livestock program, I trained him dairy cattle management; he set up a paddock with good pastures, he built a cattle shed and applied for a heifer from SP in 2008. due to his good work, he succeeded and to date they drinking milk in plenty, sells some some and he has this gorgeous heifer to pay back! I thank God for I have changed someone's standard of living!

Benefiting very fast....!
Mrs. Eria of Rwenkubebe Kamwenge - Uganda was given three indigenous goats by Samaritan's Purse Livestock program in July, 2007. On first kidding in December, 2007 she got four kids and her flock raised to seven. Recently in mid August, 2008 her goats delivered six Boer cross-breed kids (picture Left); 3 female and 3 males.......each of her children has a kid now! She has sold one castrate from the first batch at Ush. 35,000 ($ 21) and added Ush. 15,000 to buy one other Doe.
She now has a flock of 13 Goats originating from 3 goats within a short period of time. She gives credit to Samaritan's Purse for giving her the three goats that started the flock she has now.
